Simple but Cute

I had a small order today.  A dozen cupcakes for a little girl to take to preschool in order to celebrate her birthday.  I thought they turned out simple but cute.  Vanilla cupcake with a vanilla whipped topping.

Elmo

I had a cupcake order for a toddler's birthday party. They requested chocolate cupcakes with a whipped vanilla frosting.  I thought they turned out pretty cute and I was very pleased with how Elmo turned out.  It takes about 14 or 15 cupcakes to make him.

A Large Order

Things here were a little busy this week.  My sister who was helping with the business recently moved back to Washington State so I've been moving forward alone.  This week I had a pretty large order for a local firm.  I think it turned out great and everyone seemed quite pleased with the cupcakes.  Sadly, I didn't take any pictures of the end result but here's a picture of all the cupcakes I'd baked the night before they were delivered.

Holiday Season

The holiday season is quickly approaching and here at Cakes by Kay and Mae we are making new flavors just for the season.  Cupcakes are a great treat for this time of year.  You can take them to a party, a family gathering, or use them as a gift for a loved one, co-worker, or neighbor.  We have special wrapping and packaging just for this occasion and we're even doing half dozen orders for a limited time.  So, let us know how we can make your holiday season a little easier.

Yes, it has been a long time since we posted, but we have been hard at work.  We finally have our own business card, and we have been trying out some new cupcakes! Here's a list of our newest tasty treats!

Apple-licious

• An apple cupcake topped with a carmel cream cheese frosting.

Nog-Nog

• If you love egg nog this is the cupcake for you.  Egg nog cupcake filled with an egg nog pudding, topped with a nutmeg cinnamon buttercream.

Tie-Dye

• Your choice of fruit flavored cupcake.  You can pick up to three colors and depending on the colors we can choose a flavoring (ex., red could be raspberry, strawberry or yellow could be lemon, etc.).  Topped with a whipped cream like frosting. 

We are currently working on triple chocolate and chocolate peanut butter cupcakes! Yum!

Also, we are making these cute clowns! You can put them on top of any kind of cupcake. They are perfect for birthday parties. And those cute little bodies aren't just frosting because who wants that much icing in their mouth, but they are actually frosted marshmallows.
